Just received and planted, large healthy root stock

Submitted 3 years ago

By Wmson

From Central New England

I was happy to see the size of these. Quite large, at least three or four inches long and sturdy and thick. I am a bit confused about locations for planting as written, "sun/part shade" when all other descriptions I have read say full sun. I ordered two package sof this and placed one in a spot with part to full sun and the other set in full sun, so we will see. Pleased so far.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Q
There was no instruction included and it is a very strange root system. I am not an inexperienced gardener but have never seen anything like these. Hard to tell how to plant with a very tiny bulb attached to flat tubes. Bulb & tubes appeared almost rotten. Please advise how to properly plant.
Asked by Pamela
Verified Reply - AngelaYou can plant the root horizontally. Don't worry about which was is up because the plant will find its way. You should expect new top growth within about 6 weeks. Please contact us if you experience any issues. Unless the roots were soft and squishy, I would expect them to grow well. Please let us know if you experience any problems. Was this answer helpful to you
