Beachside Blue Sea Holly

Beachside Blue Sea Holly

A favorite of bees and butterflies, this uniquely lovely perennial adds eye-catching color and a striking flower form to bouquets, borders or feature beds. Boasting larger blooms than previous sea holly varieties, its iridescent metallic blue, ovate flowers will be highly visible even from a distance. As a landscape planting, it is top notch, lasting a very long time in the garden and requiring little to no maintenance during the growing season. Tolerates drought and an array of soil types, including sandy soil.

Amazing

By Gardensue

From Verona Wisconsin

I order these this spring of 2023. Planted and had good success. All 5 made it. Gave 2 away. The 3 I have are beautiful striking plants with majestic flower heads that look like they will open soon. So exotic. They are among my orange and red coneflowers. The contrast will be great.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Coming along

By My plant life

From Warren, MI

I got 5 sprouting, health roots. Planted after amending soil with worm castings and voila! 3 weeks sprouting heartily in unseasonably cool temperatures. I'm looking forward to blooms next year

Q
I am a very novice planter, I definitely am not a Gardner. For clarity, It says to plant 18" apart..I want to plant mine along a 50' (foot) wall it says I need 27. Do I really need that many? Am I planting them in two rows or just 1 every 18", that seems like to many.
Asked by Renee
Verified Reply - AngelaI'm not sure of the width of the bed. You can plant Beachside Blue Sea Holly in one row with 18 inch spacing. 50 feet is 600 inches. 600 inches divided by 18 inches means 33 plants with my math. If you plant them 24 inches apart, you will need 25 plants. Hope that helps. Was this answer helpful to you
