Queen of the Prairie

Queen of the Prairie

Wow! What a magnificent scene Queen of the Prairie creates when it is in bloom. The full, fluffy, colorful plant fills deep seasonal borders, mixed gardens and large landscaping beds with plenty of soft, light texture and natural beauty all summer long. Gardeners anticipate the airy sprays of deep pink florets that cover the butterfly-friendly plants every year. Queen of the Prairie does very well in large decorative containers, too. Suggest customers place the pots on sunny patios, decks or porches for a touch of lighthearted drama and lush, seasonal color.

Came back beautiful in its second year

Submitted 1 year ago

By James In Bucks County

From Levittown PA

It had spread a lot in its second year but the foliage is beautiful and there's space because I followed the planting instructions. I'll post more photos when they bloom.

Surprisingly easy to grow

Submitted 2 years ago

By JR

From Bucks County PA

I planted three bare root in the spring: two in an eastern facing full sun bed and one in a semi-shaded spot behind a rose bush. All three plants grew well. Two bloomed in summer and two bloomed in the fall but not the same two plants! I was surprised that I had one late bloomer and one re-bloomer in the same season. All the plants had impressive foliage and fit nicely in the center or rear of the garden. The flowers have a really nice scent and are just about right at face level this first year, maybe 4' ft high. I'm hoping they grow taller next season. Very pleased with these plants.
