Shamrock Iron Cross

Shamrock Iron Cross

Named for the unique cross pattern on the leaves, this gorgeous plant returns yearly to grateful gardeners and happy homeowners. Clusters of four green, heart-shaped leaves bear the deep maroon cross design and cradle small, pink, funnel-shaped blooms over a very long flowering period—from June to September! Versatile, too—Iron Cross works very well in decorative patio containers, along a walkway, or as a flowering ground cover. Attractive to pollinators and butterflies, as well as passersby, but deer won't bother it.

Attractive foliage and blooms all spring and summer

Submitted 2 years ago

By Barry

From AR

Very pleased with these. I used them mainly in boarders. I also used them in pots that had spring bulbs. Kept the pots looking good all summer after bulb foliage began to die.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I planted them in pots. Just tall stems with pink flowers and not one green leaf has appeared. This is going to be very interesting to see what happens next.
