These garden giants demand attention from visitors and passersby! With large, well-formed blooms in a shade of marigold yellow, Banja Luka Darwin Hybrid Tulip is sure to become a garden favorite. Each gorgeous tulip is accented with ruby-red feathering at the edges of its soft petals, giving a fiery effect to mass landscape plantings or deep border beds. Like others of its type, Banja Luka is super strong, easily withstanding the unpredictable spring rains and heavy winds. Perfect for cutting gardens, where they can be enjoyed both outdoors and in. Darwin Hybrids perennialize nicely, dependably returning yearly to the garden.

My Favorite Tulip of All Time

Submitted 4 years ago

By Bella

From Toms River NJ

Never planted Tulips before. Bought a bunch of them and every single bulb opened I now have to pray and hope they all come up next Spring. I got complaints from people who were told of my tulips from word of mouth that came to see them.

Questions & Answers

Q&A

Showing 1 out of 1 Questions

Q
I live in El Mirage, Arizona and wanted to make sure the Darwin Hybrid Tulip Banja Luka flowers will grow in our climate. These are beautiful flowers and I absolutely LOVE tulips. I want to make sure they are suitable for Arizona's climate and if they are, when would be the time to plant them? Thank you so much, Tausha
Asked by Tausha
Verified Reply - AngelaThe Banja Luka Tulips are suggested for USDA Hardiness Zones 3 to 8. It looks like you are gardening in zone 9. You can grow tulips in your area as annuals by chilling the bulbs for about 12 to 14 weeks prior to planting. If you chill the bulbs in the refrigerator, be sure to remove any ethylene producing fruits or vegetables as they can damage the flower. You will be planting in December to January. Was this answer helpful to you
