Crocosmia Firestarter

Specially bred to exhibit a striking bicolor palette, this new Crocosmia displays elegant, tubular flowers in a vivid yellow hue accented with brilliant orange edges and matching center stripe. Firestarter gives midsummer borders and garden beds a shot of hot, hot color all wrapped up in a fine flower form. The bright shades and stately height attract pollinators to flowers that are open and easy to see from a distance. Planted in groups, they make an eye-catching feature in the landscape. Flowers are long lasting when cut for arrangements. Plants multiply annually.

None Blossomed but Hopeful

Submitted 1 year ago

By Matt

From Chicago Suburbs

Purchased 10 bulbs, I believed 7-8 sprouted (I may have missed a stem). None blossomed but I think they may have been close as the stems were doing well. The bulbs look a little better than when they were planted. My hope is that next year with an earlier planting they will bloom, and I will update the review if they manage to take off.
