Burning Bush Hedge

Burning Bush Hedge

Burning Bush is a longtime favorite for creating colorful hedges along walkways and property boundaries. This low-maintenance, reliable shrub grows 4-6 ft. tall and requires very little pruning or trimming. Its leaves emerge emerald green in the spring and provide a tidy, attractive backdrop for perennials. In the fall, its foliage turns a show-stopping red and hangs on late into fall, often after many other trees and shrubs have gone bare. Because it has corky bark with winged twigs, it's a great shrub for providing winter interest. For the best color, grow Burning Bush in full sun. The Burning Bush Hedge is ideal for landscapers wanting to create hedgerows.

Q
Do these burning bush shrubs I purchased flower and produce berries that will seed and therefore become invasive? And is it toxic to my dog? If so, I will need to return these plants for a refund as these two factors were not mentioned in the description of this plant.
Asked by Myrner the burner
Verified Reply - AngelaYou can contact your county extension office to determine if the Burning Bush Hedge is considered invasive in your area. You can contact our Customer Care team if you do not wish to plant them for this reason. We will be happy to provide a positive resolution. The Burning Bush is listed as toxic to pets if ingested. You may be surprised to learn that many of our favorite garden plants are also toxic if consumed. We always suggest checking the ASPCA list to be sure your pets are safe. https://www.aspca.org/pet-care/animal-poison-control/toxic-and-non-toxic-plantsWas this answer helpful to you

How does this bush do in wet-to-moist soil? What color is it in the Winter? Does it keep its leaves in Winter?
Asked by Dave
