Bulbs sprouted early, stems were strong (though best staked), the many flowers were bright and clear and brought a smile to everyone!

These are by far the largest dahlias I have ever had the privilege of growing. They hold true to the "dinnerplate" size description. They are pale yellow and grow 6-10" across. They were a little later to bloom than some of my other varieties but have made up for it with the amount of blooms that they are producing now.

It is a true dinnerplate dahlia. Huge bright yellow. Doesn't grow quite as tall as some dahlias classed as dinnerplates, which i think is a plus. Blooms sooner. I had some other varieties that barely bloomed before the frost got them. I also grow Strawberry Ice. Another spectacular dahlia. Kevin Floodlight and Strawberry Ice are rivals in my dahlia garden.

The flowers bloomed were white instead of yellow and were not dinner plate size. I was really disappointed.

They were big and beautiful. However, because they were so big, they needed to be staked and some flowers flopped due to their weight. I cut the flowers and arranged them in a vase.
