Astilbe Purple Lance

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Attractive foliage and sensational, purplish-red, fluffy flower spikes brighten shade gardens. Astilbe Purple Lance is a great addition to the perennial border, in bed plantings or even containers! Blooming in early to midsummer, the mass of feathery plumes sway in the summer breeze—and they're great as cut flowers too. Lacy, deep green or bronze-green foliage continues to add texture to your gardens. Plant astilbe in rich, moist soil, in shade or semi-shade and in groups of 5 or more for maximum impact. Deer tend to avoid.

Second purchase just as good.

I love these plants the ones I got last year are huge! They leafed out and are 2 feet across already and just as tall. They are covered in blooms with gorgeous deep bronzy green foliage. This year's new set came delayed in 90 degrees.... All of them were fine! They sent me 12! Instead of the promised 10. Very well packed! One was even dug out by a squirrel I caught it after a few hours and replanted and it's fine! The plant didn't even miss a beat.

Great plants came out of dormancy quickly

This Astilbe is quite vigorous. I assumed it would start slow and really small but all 5 plants are already at least a foot wide now. Lots of nice fernlike leaves and a very attractive reddish purple tinge to them. We even had a late.spring frost and freeze and it looks the plants merely laughed at it. I'm planning on more Astilbe varieties now.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
