This was the most beautiful bulbs, they bloomed in the desert even though no drip, in a small container while dropping leaves from drought.

Total Bust

Submitted 2 years ago

By Connie

From Portland, OR

Not one of the five tubers grew!! I started them in the greenhouse along with several other varieties of dahlia, ALL of which sprouted and grew just fine. Everyone of these rotted. NO growth at all. The sad thing is that these were sent to me because the 3 amaryllis bulbs ordered last fall arrived as soft as marshmallows, and I was given a credit so ordered these. I've grown dahlias for decades and have never had this sad result. I also ordered 3 hardy amaryllis with the merchandise credit and only one of those grew. I am DONE with this company!

I Bought at a end of season price, but was disappointed

These were purchased May 24 and received June 3. Quality was poor, 4 had one viable eye, the fifth was a total loss. The 4 with some life were very dry and crumbly so they may not grow. I expected not perfect but better quality. This was the worst condition of what I received in my order. Ge

Long lasting beauties

These are the most beautiful flowers and they last a long time! It's almost November in the Northeast and they're still blossoming! I need more of these…they took awhile to get going because I live in an area where I get roaming turkeys(2-24 of them!!!) and they keep digging things up…the surviving dahlias are gorgeous!

Avoid in zone 8 B

Verified Buyer

Do not do well in zone 8B. Out of the 250 dahlia bulbs planted (Border Dahlias Mixed, Decorative Dahlia Heatwave, Boarder Decorative Dahlia Go Go Purple, Dark Leafed Sunshine Dahlia )in May, I only was able to harvest 60 flowers worth putting in an arrangement by October 20. No one flower on the Dark Leafed Sunshine Dahlia.

Great Dahlia, but order fulfillment is lacking

Love this single dahlia for another completely different look from dahlias. The dark foliage is also a standout with Sunshine. The rest of my dahlia order was disappointing - I got ONE of the American Dawn that I ordered, the rest of the tubers were a far cry from being American Dawn - disappointing when you plan a color scheme and then after the wait to see the blooms it all falls apart. with odd varieties

Very Prolific With Morning Sun

Submitted 2 years ago

By Black Birch Bill

From New Hampshire

I started these in 8 inch pots indoors three weeks before transplanting outside after danger of frost had passed. They were planted in a one foot diameter spot of prepared soil with a small handful of Osmocote fertilizer mixed into the bottom of the planting hole. The plants took off and had blooms by early June. They are still blooming as of today, October 11, even though the temperature hit 33 degrees early this morning. The planting location gets the morning sun until one or two PM, but no afternoon sun. They still thrived. I did dig up one plant for winter storage yesterday and found that some of the bulbs has been partially eaten by voles.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

On the picture don't look very good but in the garden, I felt in love with this dahlia because many native bees love it and look very beautiful. In vase as the bouquet gorgeous. I even can say it's become my favorite.
