Siberian Iris Black Joker

Siberian Iris Black Joker

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
For a dark and dramatic floral display near water gardens and stream beds, consider adding Black Joker to the mix. This striking Siberian Iris features velvety, deep purple falls trimmed in rich gold below lively lavender-blue standards highlighted with vivid yellow. This unusual coloration, combined with its exotic flower form, makes Black Joker a hit with gardeners and garden pros alike. They are easy to grow, tolerant of many soil types (though they prefer moist soil) and deer resistant. Plus, they have a fine fragrance that intensifies in large mass plantings. At 22" tall, Black Joker makes a wonderful addition to sunny borders and beds, too. Perennializes well, dependably returning year after year.

Flowered the first year

Submitted 2 years ago

By M

From Denver Colorado

One of the divisions I planted this spring is already flowering. Nice coloring and something unique in the garden. Excited to see the plant get bigger and flower more heavily in future years but happy for a sneak peak of what's to come.

Not your average purple iris.

Submitted 3 years ago

By Shelley

From Oregon

These are absolutely stunning! Very rich and vivid shades of violet, gold dust, a dash of gray with a gentle cloud blue center. The bloom is also very dynamic in shape and it's so much easier than an orchid. If you feed them well, the colors seem to stay potent.
