This iris is on the second summer in my garden. The blooms are quite beautiful. Recommend you buy in bulk (9+) plants if you really want a showstopper in season 2!

would like to plant these iris in the same bed as my tulips...the different bloom times seem great...would that work? how to allow for the spacing between the tulips and the iris...would the potential spread get in the way? if so how many years etc...

Verified Reply - AngelaYou can plant Siberian Irises in the same bed as your spring flowering bulbs. Spacing is the tricky part. The Irises will have a mature spread of about 24 inches. You won't want to plant any closer to the spring bulbs than 2 feet. You won't have an issue for the first two to three years.Was this answer helpful to you

Verified Reply - AngelaYou can grow the Siberian Iris Something Shocking in pots and sink them in the ground. Just be sure the pots have drainage holes. You can us a 12 inch diameter pot for these.Was this answer helpful to you

Hello I just moved to zone six here in Concord Massachusetts. If I were to plant the something shocking Siberian irises in March, or perhaps April, what would the bloomtime be? Would they bloom this year or not until next year? Please advise as I am trying to plan my garden for this new zone much colder! Thank you, Jane
