This highly floriferous variety features bright fuchsia purple, 8" semi-double blooms with a touch of deep purple. Gold stamens fill the center of the flowers and contrast beautifully with the darker petals. With its attractive, Morning Lilac is a highly decorative, compact plant even when not in bloom. Dark green leaves with purple shading turn gray-green in summer, then bright orange and red in the fall.

Growing Tips

I ordered two noting lilac iron peonys, and planted them immediately. Both have sprouted, but the two plants have completly different leaves. The description does not state that these are grafted, and when I planted them I did not see any evidence of a graft. So, my question is, are these grafted, two different types or?

Will these flower the first year?

is this a tree with flowers that won't droop down onto the ground? do you have it in stock ready for planting?

Verified Reply - AngelaThe Itoh Peonies are less likely to require staking than herbaceous peonies. They have sturdy stems and will hold up the large flowers unless growing in excessively windy conditions. This plant is in stock and shipping this spring season.Was this answer helpful to you
