Beautiful, big, early bloomer

Submitted 11 months ago

By Othellos Mom

From Austin, MN

I planted three bulbs in 2017, one didn't make it through the summer, but as you can see the other two are thriving. 7 years and three years of drought later, the blooms show over my 4' privacy fence. The color is this pretty salmon/coral that turns into a creamy yellow. Two for the price of one. My mom thought it was a whole different plant the first couple bloomings. Smells amazing. Holds up well as a cut flower.

Color fades quickly

Submitted 2 years ago

By Melissa

From Colorado zone 5b

Two of three roots came up. One of two flowered their second year in the ground. The color starts out coral but quickly fades to almost white. I didn't know the blooms last a week.

My favorite of all my peonies!

The most gorgeous peonies ever! They bloomed the first spring, need little water, survive 100+ heat, & were even bulldozed & buried for a day by accident during construction work.

I purchased several peonies last spring and nothing came up except for one tiny little sprout that did nothing. I have grown peonies for years but never had any problems like this.

No eyes...

Submitted 4 years ago

By Dino

From Colorado

I ordered 2 bags, got 6 dried up roots. I couldn't find a single eye. Planted them not knowing if they are right side up or not. Won't order again. Took a pic of 1. Nothing like the drawing. Will have to dig them up to see if anything is happening or if they're dead. Should probably dig them up and return them.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Not exactly what's pictured, but pretty.

I was hoping for similar blooms as pictured, with softer colors. But it came out much deeper, solid, salmon, which is alright. The form is good.

Q
The Peony Pink Hawaiian coral I just ordered says in one part of the description that it blooms May-June. But in the product specifications it says "Bloom Time Midsummer, and again in late summer to early fall". I just ordered it based on the double-bloom times but now am wondering whether that was a mis-print. I've had issues with descriptions on this site before. Please advise.
Asked by Charlene
Verified Reply - AngelaWe are very sorry for the confusion. The Peony Pink Hawaiian Coral plant will bloom once in May to June. There was indeed an error on the fall shipped product details. I will email you to provide a positive resolution. Was this answer helpful to you

It says that Peony Hawaiian Coral reblooms later close to late summer/Fall; is that a sure thing? And what conditions should be present for the peony to rebloom? Also, what is considered midsummer? Thanks!
Asked by NP
