This fimbriata type is new to our dahlia lineup, but it is destined to become a customer favorite in no time. Massive, 8" dahlias sport an intriguing fringed habit in a blend of yellow and orange. But the real surprise is the bright pink reverse on the back of each twisted petal. These amazing colors come together nicely and shine brightly from back borders, cutting gardens and group landscape plantings. Excellent in cut-flower displays. Lift in fall in zones 3-8.

Mixed results
One plant produced blooms that actually looked like Myrtle's Folly, two were solid orange and not even fimbriata, one looked like it had leafy gall. Better sorting/labeling is needed.

Tubers arrived later this year so I could start them indoors like I usually do. All of the 5 sets of tubers grew into 4 ft high plants that produced a large number of blooms over the season. I'm not sure tubers were Myrtles Folly based on the color and petals (see dahlias in the center and at 10-11 o'clock). I was hoping for more purpliish hue in the bloom. But I'm rating them a 4 because the tubers produced vigorous plants with lots of very nice cut flowers on strong stems. One of the first dahlias to bloom for me.
Only 1 of 5 tubers was a Myrtle's Folly :-(

Of the five tubers ordered, only 1 was a Myrtle's Folly :-( The blossoms of the Myrtle's Folly are beautiful and as pictured but I just wished that I had received what I ordered (5 tubers of Myrtle's Folly).
