This festive dahlia just radiates joy and happiness. Giant Dinnerplate Dahlia Dutch Carnival features 6", fully double red flowers, and each petal is edged in golden yellow—absolutely stunning. Growing 36" tall, Dutch Carnival Dahlia adds a burst of color and life to the late-summer garden, and it looks spectacular as a cut-flower in fresh bouquets and arrangements. Dahlias perform best when planted in full sun. They start blooming in midsummer and will keep flowering until the first fall frost. Deer tend to avoid them.

Beautiful colors just like the photos when it first blooms, fades to a more yellow flower over time. Still pretty. Plants were not as substantial as the other dahlias I grew, flower size a little disappointing.

The colors are intense and striking; however, the width size is about 6" which I don't consider a GIANT dinner plate.

Beautiful colorful prolific bloomer!
This dahlia produced multiple blooms, great for cutting and long lasting in the vase. However, they were not exactly 'giant'. I'd say most were about 5-6" in size. The title of the ad says 'giant', the description does say 'mid-sized'. I'll go with mid-sized as well. We grow many dahlias every year and this is our first year with this one. It's a great addition to the garden and we're hoping the tubers are sturdy enough to make it through winter storage in our cool greenhouse. Thank you for such a beautiful season with this lovely dahlia!
