Big, beautiful and showy flowers add color and style to the garden—and are absolutely stunning as cut flowers. Tartan Giant Dinnerplate Dahlia's fully double, 8" burgundy flowers are accented with white. They're the ultimate showstopper in the garden. They make an ideal focal point in the backs of borders and more, thanks to their huge flower size—blooms are literally the size of a dinner plate! Best of all, they take little to no special effort to grow, yet will flower all season long until the first frost.

This dahlia grows really tall for me. Even though I've seen it growing perfectly in other gardens in Michigan, it doesn't seem happy in mine. Blossoms tend to be misshapen and not full.

I was amazed at how these grew. Close to 8' tall. I did not pinch them off to get the bigger blooms and was rewarded with a multitude of blossoms that were still quite impressive.
