Blue-White Hyacinth Blend

Blue-White Hyacinth Blend

88%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Refreshing mix of light blue, dark blue and white flowers adds color and fragrance to the early to mid-spring garden. Blue-White Hyacinth Blend is a random mix that can be used in many ways. It works well when planted in groups in formal beds, scattered in the border between ground covers and perennials, or planted in small clumps in front of evergreens. Growing 8-12" tall, this blend also is charming in window boxes. Deer resistant and easy to grow, hyacinth bulbs perform best when planted in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade.

While they did bloom nicely, were a bit smaller than I expected. I hope next year they will be more vigorous and get a bit more height. Planted around the lilacs, so adds a burst of color before the lilacs.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Oh my goodness! I love these hyacinths! They are doing just great for us, on a sunny corner where I have worked at improving our native sandy "soil". The scent was heavenly, they lasted and lasted, with strong, healthy stems and foliage. Beautiful!

Beautiful and fragrant!

Submitted 4 years ago

By Adely M

From Allentown, PA

I planted the bulbs in late October, just in front of the main door, they are super fragrant for around 1 week, anytime that I opened the door I could smell the fabulous aroma so Im really happy with the results. The flowers are white, light purple and dark purple (NO Blue like advertised), to be honest the purple flowers are so more beautiful tthan the blue ones that I was expecting. The last around 3 weeks.

Strong healthy bulbs, but ignore the advertised picture colo

See customer photos for true colors. The trio of colors it says in the botanical name are "Carnegie" (white), "delft blue" (light blue), and "blue trophy" (dark blue). However, even on this dutchbulbs website, you can buy those colors/varieties separately, and the photos of the delft blue and blue trophy do NOT match this trio picture. Blue trophy is definitely a purple/indigo color, even according to this websites other pictures. The delft blue hyacinth photo does not match the customer review photos, as they also look purple/indigo. Final result is if you buy this bulb bundle, you will actually get only 2 colors; white, and dark purple/indigo. NOTHING like the advertised blues in the picture. However, they are healthy large bulbs and they grew wonderfully. I do recommend them, just beware they are definitely not true blue colors.
