Hyacinth Jan Bos

Hyacinth Jan Bos

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Showy scarlet-red flowers make Hyacinth Jan Bos a real favorite. Blooming in early to mid spring, it adds bold color and sweet fragrance to beds, borders, window boxes and containers. Pollinators love it. Growing 8-10" tall, Jan Bos is a beautiful addition to formal beds—and is eye-catching when scattered in the border between ground covers and perennials or in small clumps in front of evergreens. Hyacinth bulbs are easy to grow and perform best when planted in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade. Deer tend to avoid.

I wish there was a 4.5 star because my only disappointment is they are not as tight/full as the photo. The color is beautiful and looks great with the tulips I bought here.

The flower stalks began to bloom as soon as the buds popped out of the leaves. The flowers are as large as pictured, and the color is as eye-catching as expected.

Really beautiful the first year but not reliable rebloomers. By the third year most will not have blooms and those that do bloom is much smaller than the first year.

Love the color and heavenly scent! I've already ordered more for next spring, I loved the color so much! Definitely need them to get chilled enough next time though, they didn't develop long stems.

Very pretty deep pink (not quite as red as in the photo). Every bulb came up. Blooming a little later than my delft blue and other hyacinths, but very lovely.
