I ordered 450 bulbs from Dutch bulbs.con based on reviews and I have been happy watching them bloom. The Mr.Fokker bulbs have been the first ones to pop up and boy are they gorgeous. I will see about adding a couple of pictures if the site will allow me. I have been very happy so far and I will keep you guys posted as others bloom.

The yellow and orange flowers are from a local nursery, but the Mr.Fokker's are again gorgeous. The yellow and burnt orange flowers in front add a beautiful picture

Questions & Answers

Q&A

Showing 10 out of 12 Questions

Q
can I hold these until Spring to plant?
Asked by MaryEllen
Verified Reply - AngelaMr. Fokker Anemone is suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 7-10. The bulbs should be lifted from the ground and stored in a cool dry place for winter in colder regions. You appear to be gardening in zone 5 and should plant these corms in the spring. You can hold your corms in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator as long as there are no ethylene gas producing fruits or vegetables. The best solution is to plant them in pots and hold them in an unheated garage or basement until spring. Water them in lightly at planting and about once a month while in storage. You are just trying to prevent the soil from drying out completely. They do not need light. You can plant them out in the garden in the spring. Was this answer helpful to you
