Delightful soft pink, very fragrant flowers add plenty of charm to beds, borders, window boxes and containers. Growing 12" tall, Hyacinth Pink Frosting (Fondant) blooms in early to mid spring and attracts pollinators. It's a wonderful addition to formal beds or scattered in the border between ground covers and perennials or in small clumps in front of evergreens. Hyacinth bulbs are easy to grow and perform best when planted in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade. Deer tend to pass them by.

Beautiful fragrant blooms

Submitted 1 year ago

By Flower maximalist

From Zone 7a

I planted these dotted next to my front walk and was very pleased with the results. The bulbs were large and healthy looking, and all 25 bloomed. The flowers stalks are full, and the delicate pale pink blooms smell lovely on the recent warm spring days.

All of these came up and are a lovely shade of pink. The flowers were so heavy that a lot of them fell over on the ground, but hopefully their stems will get stronger from year to year.

I picked Hyacinth Pink Frosting for my pink colored planting area. Planted them Fall of 2019 according to the directions included. They all came up this Spring. The color starts out pale and gets more intense the longer they bloom. I was surprised to see a second flower stalk developing while the first ones were in full bloom. They look exactly as pictured in your catalog.

I would buy this again and again!

I meticulously prepared the soil with upscale micronutrients, location with optimal morning to mid afternoon lite. I got at least 92% success with beautiful large pink blooms. Not sure if it is because the extra nutrients given, when the original blooms were spent a whole new stalk with slightly smaller blooms followed. Double whammy!
