Yellow Crown features fully double, 8-10" yellow flowers with a red center. Our favorite yellow Itoh Peony is a welcome cross between tree peonies and herbaceous peonies. Itoh Peonies are the best of both worlds. They borrow their domed, vigorous growth habit and very sturdy stems from tree peonies, with large, double flowers and disease-resistant, dark green foliage. Once established, Itoh Peonies will offer up to 50 blooms in a single season .

Planting Instructions:
Dig a hole large enough to spread out roots without bending them. Set crown with buds 1-2" below ground-level. Water in thoroughly. Plant at least 6 weeks before ground freezes. -

Two itoh yellow peonies arrived with damage
I have had so much trouble getting this order this past fall, and to finally get it and have problems is frustrating. This order was delay after delay. Finally when I saw the shipping ticket it said "rush, two day." It took 8 days for them to arrive. They really should have been in the ground a month before I got them which was the original shipping date I want to let you know that both of the plants arrived with damage. The top part of the small one is almost totally broken off from the main root. The larger one has pretty severe rot on one of the roots. The second root It is very floppy and mushy and two of the little roots attached to it fell off because they were so rotted. I am a very experienced gardener and have grown many peonies for 50 years or more now. I will wait till summer to see what happens with them both but after reading the other reviews I don't have much hope for these peonies I've waited many years to purchase due to the high cost. Please reassure me you will refund my cost, or replace with two peony roots that may actually grow.

I ordered this Peony as a Intersectional Specimen plant at a focal point just off the patio leading to a 65ft. central walk path with (2) arbor trellis arches & a large, raised bird bath flower bed at the end of the path.
