Double Peony Deep Pink

Double Peony Deep Pink

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Blooming in deep pink, this double peony is hardy, fragrant, long-lived, and rarely needs dividing. As a bonus, peonies are superior as cut flowers—it's no wonder they're considered "The Queen of Garden Flowers!" Great as focal points in a perennial bed, for hedges or in a spot of their own. Very low care and high performance.

Gorgeous!

Submitted 9 months ago

By Karen

From Newport Beach

I planted Spring of 2023. A year later, first bloom (1). Outstanding! However, it is light pink and not deep pink. Against all odds of where I live (Southern CA by ocean), it should not have survived. It did and the first bloom is gorgeous! I couldn't be happier. The light pink color is beautiful. Rating is only a 4 because wrong shade.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Q
I purchased the double pink for Shipment date beginning February 2024for zone7A. When should i plant it? Where should I store it if I can't plant it because t he ground is frozen? Will it flower the first year of planting?
Asked by jeanette the Butterfly Lady
Verified Reply - AngelaYou can plant your peony root as soon as the soil is workable. There is no need to wait for the last frost date. You can store the roots in a cool, dark and dry location until planting. Peonies can take about three years to get established and fully bloom. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
When do you think that other peonies will be available? Does out of season mean out of stock or planting at a different time?
Asked by Don
Verified Reply - AngelaOut of season means it's been offered before in the spring season. If you are interested in something that is out of stock or season, enter your email address on the page to be notified if it becomes available to order again. I believe the peonies currently listed on the website are all that will be available this fall. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Are the Peony plants shipped as a 'tubor' ? And, are the Candy Cane grasses shipped as the entire tall plant? Thank you! Priscilla
Asked by Priscilla
Verified Reply - AngelaThe Peonies are shipped as bareroot divisions. The Candy Cane Sorrel are bulbs. The Cotton Candy Grass is shipped as 2.5" plugs. I wasn't sure which of those plants you were asking about. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I live in zone 8b in Florida. Is there special care I need to know about in growing peonies here?
Asked by Carol
Verified Reply - AngelaYou will want to plant your peony roots no more than an inch below the soil surface. The plants are best planted in a site with about 5 hours of early sun and afternoon shade. Otherwise, just water and fertilize on a regular schedule. Was this answer helpful to you
