Green Velvet Boxwood

Green Velvet Boxwood

Boxwoods, with their glossy, evergreen foliage and tidy habit, can really dress up a landscape—and Green Velvet Boxwood is one of our favorites for creating low-growing hedges and privacy screens as well as foundation plantings. Growing just 3-4 ft. tall with a similar spread, Green Velvet has a compact habit. With a little pruning, you can create a formal look. Boxwoods are great for adding year-round color and texture to the garden or landscape. Also, deer and rabbits tend to avoid nibbling on its leaves and bark. Green Velvet prefers slightly acidic to slightly alkaline soils and grows best when planted in full sun to partial shade.
