Echinops ritro

Gardeners and landscape pros that must contend with salty soil and drought conditions, this new offering is perfect for you! Introducing echinops ritro, an award-winning perennial that is as charming as it is carefree. Also known as Southern Globe Thistle, this unique plant is perfect for adding late-season color to borders, beds and even bouquets. Featuring small, metallic blue blooms that have a unique round flower form, echinops ritro is unlike anything most gardeners have ever seen. Its spiky, silver foliage adds an unusual twist to the overall look, especially when paired with more "traditional" summer perennials. These tough plants easily tolerate drought, high heat and salt. Pollinators love them!
