Allium carolinianum 'Rosy Dream'

Allium carolinianum 'Rosy Dream'

100%

Even among its spectacular contemporaries, this new violet-pink allium paints a very pretty picture in the landscape. A real standout for its vibrant color and moderate 14-16" height, Rosy Dream makes an exceptional addition to a mixed perennial garden or sunny, seasonal border. It features straight, sturdy stems strong enough to hold the large, fluffy spheres of superb substance, each flower head made up of hundreds of tiny florets in an amazing shade of bright pink. Like all alliums, this newcomer attracts plenty of beneficial pollinators, but not deer, rabbits or rodent pests. It is also drought tolerant once established. Alliums are not available in ID, WA.

Absolutely adorable tiny little blooms on short stalks. They timed out perfectly and came up just as the tulips in the bed were starting to fade.

I don't know yet. Just received the bulbs. Three were moldy mush. The others look healthy and will be planted soon . I hope they deter the mole in my garden.

Being that I just received this allium, I haven't seen it's bloom. Every bulb ordered from K. van Bourgondien has been most productive and absolutely gorgeous. I am looking forward to next spring when all the bulbs will wake up and show themselves.
