Shipped in a plastic bag packed with wet wood chippings and the plant roots had a white fungus on arrival. None grew. Other plants that were shipped at the same time were still alive.

Q
Is spring the best time to plant this? When do I expect them to start blooming? Thanks!
Asked by Cheryl
Verified Reply - AngelaYou can plant Astilbe in the spring or fall. I prefer the spring so you don't have to wait as long to see it grow. The plant may or may not bloom the first year planted. You should expect to see blooms in the second or third year after planting. Was this answer helpful to you
