Brighten shaded areas with masses of white, feathery flower plumes. Growing 24-36" tall, Astilbe Diamond's lacy, deep green foliage complements the flowers and adds texture to the garden. Blooming in June-July, Diamond Astilbe's white feathery plumes add movement to the garden as they sway in the summer breeze. Deer resistant and easy to grow, astilbe are ideal perennials for planting in perennial flowerbeds and containers. They make attractive cut flowers, too.  For best results, plant astilbe in well-drained soil in partial shade to full shade.

Q
What is the specific difference between White Gloria and Diamond? They are both 24" to 36" tall with the same spacing requirement.
Asked by Candice
Verified Reply - AngelaThese two plants are similar. I think you will find that Astilbe White Glory comes in on the lower end of the height range and may have a slightly creamier flower. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Do you have tips for planting in containers?
Asked by Cynthia
Verified Reply - ViciIf you want to grow one plant, start with a container with a width of at least 16 inches and a depth of about 12 inches. If you want to grow more than one astilbe, look for a larger container. Fill the container with a good quality commercial potting mix, or create your own with a combination of organic material such as peat, compost, composted bark chips, perlite or sand. Be sure the container has at least one drainage hole. Avoid overcrowding, which can cause rot and fungal disease. Was this answer helpful to you
