Tuberoses (Polianthes) Pink Sapphire

Tuberoses (Polianthes) Pink Sapphire

Long stems carry soft pink, double flowers with a heavenly fragrance. Plant Tuberoses (Polianthes) Pink Sapphire in a sunny patio container or near a walkway where garden visitors can delight in its beauty. It's also a superb cut flower. The fragrance of tuberose has long been used in perfumes to provide soft middle notes that linger. This seductive aroma has made tuberose one of the most sought-after blooms for fragrant cutting gardens and as a border plant. They attract pollinators, too! Though native to Mexico, tuberose performs very well in sunny northern landscapes. Lovely spikes of soft flowers appear in early summer and retain their beauty and sweet perfume all season long.

I am so happy with these tuberoses. I lived in Hawaii for many years, now live in Virginia. I still love tropical plants so I planted the tuberoses in containers to bring into the garage for the winter. These are new so haven't bloomed yet, but I previously ordered white tuberoses from K. van Bourdondien and they have survived very well.
