Growing Tips

  • Planting Instructions:

    Set rhizome so bottom half is below ground level. Firm well and water thoroughly. Plant where they will get at least 5 hours of sun per day.
  • Soil Moisture:

    Well drained preferred. Quite tolerant of a wide range of soils although.
  • Will Tolerate:

    Clay Soil, Loamy Soil, Sandy Soil
  • Pruning Instructions:

    Remove spent flower stems after blooming. In late fall, cut back foliage to 6" fans. Clean plant debris before winter to prevent borers overwintering.
  • Winter Care:

    Mulch in colder climates and remove in early spring before growth starts.
  • Planting Depth:

    Plant with bottom half of rhizome just below ground level.
  • Watering Requirements:

    Average water needs. Water regularly, do not overwater

I have many reblooming Iris at home and for clients. The only thing I would tell folks please get nematodes and pour on here in Ug or Sept to stop Iris borers wintering.
