Trumpet Daffodil Golden Harvest

Trumpet Daffodil Golden Harvest

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Start the daffodil season with cheery, deep yellow blooms. Trumpet Daffodil Golden Harvest is one of our most popular, early blooming yellow varieties. Growing 16" tall, Golden Harvest blooms in early to mid spring and is excellent for planting near walkways, around trees, in naturalized areas and even in containers. The flowers are excellent for cutting, too. The easy-to-grow flower bulbs perform best when planted in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade. Deer tend to pass them by.

A show stopper; they capture the attention of everyone

"How my heart with pleasure fills when I dance among the daffodils!": A show stopper; they capture the attention of everyone that passes. When everything else is drab, my gardens explode with color and vibrance. I planted them with early, mid and late blooming varieties to prolong the show. These too were interspersed with day lilies and irises. This collection gives me loads of color all summer and through the first frost. I ordered 350 more daffodil varieties from K. Van Bourgondien for fall planting. They too will electrify the corners of my gardens in bunches, surrounded by lines of alternating colored varieties for decades to come..

Daffodils in the Lawn - Like living in England again!

Bulbs were timely delivered in the fall and we got them planted. My fault in not reading all the instructions completely in terms of suggestion to give them a "winter" in the fridge. But it worked out great - the daffodils all seemed to come up in the spring and the blossoms were great. We planted them in sections in our grass and it made for a fun look for many weeks while they were in bloom.

Beauty in Connecticut

The daffodils I planted in the fall came up strong and beautiful. I had only wished I had planted more! I have them in the front and backyards and even along the edge of my woods. I love the look. A Connecticut cold snap last week did a couple in but they are robust and showy. Very satisfied.

The daffodils have come and gone, great display of color. Neighbors all commented on the display and are waiting for next spring. As it turns out I have already placed my order for 300 + for fall delivery. Already staked the garden out for the fall planting. High percentage of bulbs came to full bloom.

Cheery early pop of color

Submitted 1 year ago

By Flower maximalist

From Zone 7a

These large cheery yellow blooms were the among the first of my daffodils to open and are still blooming strong after a month since they first started to open. They've done well despite a fairly sodden spring and even a hard frost (27 F) after they'd started blooming.

I have been planting these daffodils for a few years now and they do not disappoint. Very early tp bloom and chase away the winter blahs with their sunny color. Will be planting more this fall. Very happy with this cultivar!

Daffodils look healthy and lots of them!

All the daffodils I planted last fall came up! Have not bloomed yet, in northern Minnesota things bloom later. The deer leave them alone but a pesky chipmunk seems to be nibbling. I thought "rodents" didn't like them either but no one told this hungry little guy.
