Hibiscus Starry Starry Night

Hibiscus Starry Starry Night

The darkest foliage yet! For a specimen planting or accent feature, you can't go wrong with Starry Starry Night Hibiscus. This highly floriferous selection features remarkably dark, near-black leaves that gently cradle huge, pale-pink, 7-8" blooms with darker pink speckles and veining. The rounded blooms have a feminine appeal and pop against the dramatic foliage. Starry Starry Night improves upon the habits of its predecessors and flowers from top to bottom, rather than only on the top. PP27901

Compliments coming in like crazy from folks on this plant

From illinois

I ordered this in the fall of 2021 and planted in my Illinois garden (zone 5). The stalks came up strong and sturdy and the plants are covered in the flowers. The flowers are the size of a dinner plate and so beautiful. My neighbors have all complimented on how beautiful the flowers are and the dark foliage is striking.

Gorgeous Starry Starry Night

Submitted 3 years ago

By Payit4wardKen

From Pueblo CO

I received my order in the late fall and immediately potted the huge beautiful roots in 2 gallon pots. I then sunk the pots in a raised bed and mulched for winter. In addition to the occasional snow, I kept them watered perhaps once per month as I am in a dryer climate. This Spring 2022 each one emerged and started growing rapidly. I am so pleased. I kept one and gifted the others.

Q
Hello! Do they make Dwarf varieties of these? nothing over 30" -36" Love them but need them to be lower growing Thanks!
Asked by ERIC
Verified Reply - ViciI am sorry but we do not have these in dwarf varieties. You can keep them pruned to a shorter height if you like. When you see new growth begin to emerge in spring, prune back the old woody stems to about 6 inches tall to make way for the new foliage. To stimulate branching and promote a bushier habit, you can prune the tips of the branches in early summer. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Just ordered and was notified the plants shipped. We live in east Texas, when do I plant these?
