Each 4", deep golden flower is as pretty as a painting. Growing 18" tall, Trumpet Daffodil Dutch Master is ideal for forcing for indoor displays and for growing in borders, rock gardens, containers and naturalized areas. Perhaps the best-known group of narcissus, trumpet daffodils are known for their large flowers, with trumpets as long as or longer than the flower petals. These terrific naturalizers multiply freely and have a long blooming season. They bloom in early to mid spring, and deer tend to avoid. For the best garden performance, plant daffodil bulbs in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade.

These bulbs produced the most beautiful Daffodils. I planted them last fall around my patio and in a couple flower beds. I also have them along side my driveway. They are doing really well and love them mixed in with my tulips.

A Happy Birthday surprise...

For my daughter's fortieth birthday I offered to purchase and plant 40 daffodils in the front bed of her house. And so the search was on for the best and brightest daffodils possible. After scouring the internet I settled on K. van Bourgondien's Trumpet Daffodils (Dutch Master). The bulbs arrived in a timely fashion, with plenty of opportunity to get them into the ground. When we opened the box, we found that each bulb was in perfect shape. TWe planted them in early December (while my daughter was away), and after that we waited for the show to begin. And in April, it sure did start. Beautiful blooms on stalks that were strong and sturdy. Their color was bright and could be seen from quite a distance. Imagine her surprise when she returned from a family vacation and in the process of th week she was away, the daffodils had reached their full potential and were waiting in all their glory to surprise her. These were definitely a great buy and rewarded us with the splash of color we wanted.

I planted a weeping cherry and wanted to have a cluster of daffodils around it. The daffodils blossomed first and were beautiful. A week later the weeping cherry bloomed so for two weeks I had a gorgeous view. After the weeping cherry lost its blooms, my daffodils bloomed for another two weeks. They bloomed for a total of five weeks and I don't mean dribbles and drabs, I mean full bloom. They were absolutely magnificent. I can say without a doubt they were the best daffodils I have ever had, and this was the first year after I planted them. Pretty awesome, I'd say! Can you tell I love them????
