Giant Hybrid Lily Pink Brilliant

Giant Hybrid Lily Pink Brilliant

Soft pink petals with deep pink flames and contrasting white edges add charm and elegance to bouquets and fresh floral arrangements. Giant Hybrid Lily Pink Brilliant's intensely fragrant flowers can measure up to 10" across. Pink Brilliant is a cross between the exotic Oriental and regal trumpet lilies. Orientals are known for their fragrance, spectacular color and flower size. Trumpets are known for their trumpet-shaped flowers; they naturalize well and are easy to grow. The sturdy stems on these lilies can reach a height of 3-4', with large, sweet-smelling blooms 3-6" in size in the first year alone. By the second year, they can shoot up to 5-6', and within three years these lilies can reach as high as 6-8' with masses and masses of beautiful blooms to enjoy. The surge in height is owed to their extraordinary ability to produce multiple stems from a single bulb.

Even better the second year!

Submitted 8 months ago

By Flower maximalist

From Zone 7a

All the lilies came back stronger in their second year (~6-7 ft tall) and have been filling my back garden with heavenly fragrance! They've also put off a lot of small (1-3 ft) secondary shoots, one of which even has flowers (see bottom right of image).

Beautiful fragrant flowers with perfect bloom rate!

Submitted 2 years ago

By Flower maximalist

From Zone 6b

All bulbs bloomed (~ 4 ft tall in first year) with fragrant flowers in a range of pinks. I planted them by a fence for wind protection, but they leaned away and needed staking.

Best performance I gotten yet for a 1st year Orienpet

Submitted 3 years ago

By Kit

From Santa Barbara Channel region

It came in time to pregrow, as these lilies will do in SW California, USDA zones 9a thru 10a (picture of a lily doing that included), and even tho only four out of five bulbs came up, I never got that many lilies ever from a five pack of bulbs - each produced one or two stalks with five or more lilies, several with two blooms as well as a number that'll bloom next year. The color, more a light wine than truly pink, varies quite a bit - both in shade and degree of coverage, so that some look like the cultivar called 'Nymph' and some closer to 'Friso'.

User submitted media 1 of 5
this is how orienpets that are about to produce multiple stalks pregrow this stuff beginning in September long after the main canes have died back, this stuff dies off in m January (local winter is ~Jan 8th thru February 20th) and the summer stalks emerge in March thru June depending on microclimate
User submitted media 2 of 5
These are also from one bulb
User submitted media 3 of 5
these are from a single bulb that produced five flowering stalks
User submitted media 4 of 5
these are from two bulbs planted a foot apart
User submitted media 5 of 5
a darker specimen

It wasn't very big at all, and I grow lots of lilies. I know they get bigger each year but these were only about 2 feet tall.

The bulbs you sent me did not grow up and look like the photo! The blooms are long and tubular and cream colored. There was just a small hint of light pink on the outside petals. I would like a refund. My customers were not happy because the blooms looked nothing like what they were supposed to look like.
