Giant Hybrid Lily Orange Planet

Giant Hybrid Lily Orange Planet

When privacy is what your customers seek, give them a unique planting option with Orange Planet. This Giant Hybrid Lily boasts sturdy, thick stems that grow to eight feet tall by year three, creating a living wall of flowers when planted together in a row. The extra-large, 7¼" trumpet-shaped blooms of warm orange are outlined in a delicate orange-yellow edge and appear in abundance from mid to late summer. This is truly one impressive lily! It perennializes well, reappearing with greater vigor each and every year. The fragrant blooms bring butterflies and other pollinators to the garden, and they make outstanding bouquets, too.

They all came up and were beautiful, they were more yellow than orange though and the odor was not what I expected. It was ok, not too harsh of a smell but not an overly sweet smell either! They were very healthy and didn't seem to be bothered with lily beetles!

This was the first year for these lilies. Not to many buds on each stem but they are beautiful and I am sure will continue to get more and more buds each year! I'm very happy with them!

Q
Can you plan these orange Lillie's in Rock garden?
Asked by Willow
Verified Reply - AngelaHonestly, I wouldn't suggest planting the Giant Lily Orange Planet in a rock garden. I would stick with shorter plants like Dwarf Irises, Species Tulips, Crocus and Glory of the Snow. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
what other lilies or perennials would you plant with Trumpet Lily Orange Planet? Can you suggest some combinations
Asked by Karan
Verified Reply - AngelaTake a look at Crocosmia Lucifer or the Crocosmia Mix. You're lucky and won't even have to lift those in the fall in zone 7. I also like the color combination with Hardy Tall Phlox Nicky (tall) or Salvia May Night Sage (shorter). If you like red with your Orange Planet Lilies, look at Helenium Red Jewel.
