Soft, romantic color and large flowers make Amaryllis Apple Blossom a popular choice year after year. The up to 8", white flowers are brushed with a rosy pink. Sitting atop 18-20" stems, they make an impressive display. Each jumbo-sized bulb produces three huge stems, each with 4-5 flowers. Amaryllis plants are great holiday gift ideas for gardeners and plant lovers. Most amaryllis bulbs bloom about 6-8 weeks after planting. For flowers at Christmastime, plant amaryllis bulbs around the end of October to early November. Each order includes complete instructions as well as directions for plant care to ensure repeat blooming in successive years.

Huge flowers, amazing quality
Huge bulbs with enormous flowers. The flowers actually sparkle. Came nicely packed, so easy to grow, amazing rewards around the holidays and new year for just a little effort in fall. Amaryllis bloom for many years so as mine are just finishing for the year, I can't wait to have these bulbs flower for many more seasons.

Can amaryllis be planted in the ground, like other bulbs? I've only seen them as indoor plants.

- Verified Reply - AngelaAmaryllis can generally only be grown outdoors in zone 10. We do offer the Hardy Garden Amaryllis Alaska. It is hardy in zones 7 to 10. That still doesn't help you in Illinois. You can grow Amaryllis belladonna in your area.
