Very disappointed with your mixed package, from all the mixed packages I received, either not the same variety or nothing bloom. This package I only have 2 bulbs (probably Dahlia 'Alfred Grille') bloomed.

Beautiful and hardy cut flowers

I planted four of these in a large container, and one in the ground. Three of them sprouted and grew. Two were cream/white, one the burgundy pom pom. These started flowering in July and are still flowering now end of October here in Southern California. The one in the ground grew just as nicely as those in the pot. As cut flowers, they are really long-lasting. I miss not having the pink in the picture, but am happy with the ones that did perform.
Not really as pictured
I ordered 2 of these. One arrived in spring and they all flowered but none really looked like the varieties mentioned. The other arrived in late June. I asked why they had shipped so late and why I wasn't notified of delay and they didn't have a good answer. None of the second batch had a chance to bloom and my zone is too cold for them to overwinter. Not worth digging them up as I wasn't impressed with the first group that did bloom and I expect these are more of the same. Both this mix and cherry cordial were very disappointing. They had flowers if they shipped on time but not at all like advertised. I really would not recommend this vendor for mixes if you care what type and color of flowers you get. Originally I thought these blend packs were perfect because I like variety and having to get 4 or 5 of the exact same flower can be boring. But after my experience I feel this was just an underwhelming waste of money and energy.

As Becky asked two years ago, does each set of 5 tubers contain at least one of each dahlia named in the description? If not, I'd suggest adding the word "random" to the description. Your sentence " We've chosen Belle of Barmera, Thomas A. Edison, Alfred Grille and Franz Kafka dahlias to create a mixture in fantastic shades of pink, red, purple and yellow" certainly leads one to believe each set of 5 has at least one of each variety named.

- Verified Reply - AngelaIn zone 7, you can plant the Summer Fete Dahlia tubers after the danger of frost has passed. Many people start the tubers indoors in pots and then transplant to the garden after the last frost date. Was this answer helpful to you
