Deer resistant and able to handle the heat, cannas feature showy flowers and lush tropical foliage. They start blooming in midsummer and will keep blooming until the first fall frost. Long valued by park and municipal gardeners, home gardeners now realize the value of these new hybrids as each year their popularity grows.
