Double Peony Tulip Blue Wow

Double Peony Tulip Blue Wow

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Exploding with petals in nearly true blue, no other variety has such wow factor! Growing 18" tall, Double Peony Tulip Blue Wow creates an impressive display in the garden and the vase. Peony tulips are known for their large number of petals. Blooming in very late spring, their flowers can reach up to 4" across when fully open. Due to their size, they perform best when protected from severe wind and rain. Double Peony Tulip Blue Wow makes a big impact when planted in groups in flower beds and borders. For the best results, plant tulip bulbs in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade.

These are absolutely amazing in the garden. The only reason for 4 stars is that the color is nowhere close to the color shown. Definitely a purple/reddish color, but certainly shows up in the garden. Wish this photo depicted it better.

Not the blue I expected, but it's definitely a WOW in garden.

Showing 4 out of 4 Questions

Q
Are these tulips or peonies and can they be planted in pots
Asked by Mary
Verified Reply - AngelaThe Double Peony Tulip Blue Wow is a tulip. They can be planted in pots. We suggest putting your potted bulbs in an unheated garage or basement for winter. They don't have the same insulation as those planted in the ground. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Double peony tulip - is it a perennial?
Asked by Lynne
Verified Reply - ViciThis is considered a perennial in zones 3 - 8. You are in zone 5b. It should grow well for you but Double Peony Tulips may only come back for a couple of years. Though the plants are technically perennials, most growers treat the flowers as annuals, as repeat blooms are sometimes difficult to achieve. Was this answer helpful to you
