Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood Hedge

Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood Hedge

This easy-care, versatile shrub is one that's sure to win admirers. Not many deciduous shrubs are able to provide so many months of interest! Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood bears clusters of fragrant, white flowers in late spring and has dark green leaves, tinged with red and orange shades that turn purple in the fall. What really makes this shrub a standout, though, is its red stems that brighten the winter landscape. Cardinal Red Twig Dogwood is a fast-growing, upright spreading shrub that grows 6-9 ft. tall with a slightly wider spread. Its flowers attract butterflies, and birds feast on its fruits. I could not be more disappointed!

Submitted 4 years ago

I looked forward to receiving these dogwood shrubs. But they arrived, only to disappoint. They consisted of two to four twigs for branches and a root system the size of a ping-pong ball. So far, the color is not the bright red that is shown. Hopefully that will change over time--if they even live. I ordered shrubs from another company, and they arrived the next day...big and full and beginning to leaf out. The bag was moist and the root system was the size of a volley-ball. They will get all my business from now on.
