Large Cupped Daffodil Fortune

Large Cupped Daffodil Fortune

of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Brilliant yellow flowers with orange cups appear to glow in the early to mid-spring garden. Large Cupped Daffodil Fortune boasts large, 4" flowers that add cheer to the garden and cut-flower displays. Growing 18" tall, it's ideal for borders and rock gardens, and for naturalizing in the landscape. For the biggest impact, plant in groups. To stretch the daffodil season throughout spring, select early, mid and late season varieties. Like other daffodils, Fortune is deer-resistant. It grows best when planted in well-drained soil and in full sun to partial shade.

These are darling daffodils. The color scheme reminds me of organic farm-raised eggs: with a vivid orange "yolk" in the center. Note: outer petals are a pale, buttery yellow, not the bright canary yellow shown in the promotional pictures.

Haven't bloomed yet, but a majority of them (100 planted last fall) came up a couple weeks ago. Buds on some taller sprouts that should be blooming in the next week or so.
