Double Daffodil Erlicheer

of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Early blooming variety dazzles with eye-catching, fragrant flowers—they look like a bouquet on a stem. Each stem holds multiple, double white flowers with creamy yellow centers. Growing 12" tall, Double Daffodil Erlicheer blooms in early to mid-spring and adds plenty of charm to borders, rock gardens and naturalized area. Like other daffodils, this variety looks best and makes the biggest impact when planted in groups. Loved by generations of gardeners, daffodils are easy-to-grow flower bulbs that naturalize well. They perform best when planted in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Deer tend to avoid.

I love the Erlicher daffodils, this is not the first time I have grown them. And I'm sure I will order more this fall! They look like little tiny white roses, without the thorns!

Erlicheer was a nice surprise with some stems having 5 blooms. They are delicate and petite with a lovely fragrance. I'm sorry I didn't plant them a little closer to each other, but hope they'll spread to make more of an impact in future. A nice late daffodil.

good effort from them, but they're not very hardy

These are flowers for the South. I first grew 'Erlicheer' planted in autumn and sprouting too early in the Spring. The leaf tips got frosted, but they bloomed. I got more as "summer daffodils," which makes sense if they're the kind of daffodil that doesn't need to be chilled. Those bloomed fine, but also tried to come up in the next Spring, and the leaves got frostbitten pretty badly. Recommended for a warm, sheltered spot, and for those who like the scent of paperwhite narcissuses.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I planted the bulbs in the fall and every bulb grew just as well as the ones in the picture. I completely neglected them and they still thrived without any care.

Perfect for the Deep South!

I bought these from Van B. many years ago. They have been heavy bloomers and multipliers. I live in Mobile Alabama, so that should give you an idea of the kind of climate they like. I am buying them again because we had some work done in our yard and an entire section of our garden was destroyed. But I expect these will multiply again and will quickly fill the area. And they smell like a touch of heaven! VERY strong scent!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
