Dicentra spectabilis Alba
Add elegance and charm to cottage gardens, wildflower gardens and shaded spaces with Dicentra spectabilis Alba. Also known as bleeding hearts, this shade perennial features lovely white, heart-shaped pendant flowers in the springtime. Growing 24-30" tall, it's ideal for inter-planting with spring bulbs such as daffodils, as it will hide their dying foliage. Dicentra spectabilis Alba also looks great in combination with ferns and hostas in the shade or woodland gardens. It performs best when grown in full to partial shade. Deer tend to avoid.

Absolutely Beautiful!
I admit to being skeptical that at this price point these could be any good but here we are, a mere three weeks from when I planted these and I have blooms already. I did pot them up to begin with and brought them inside when we had a late freeze but other than that these have been very hands off as far as maintenance.
Love this Plant
My white bleeding heart are blooming now in their second year. They are very pretty. While only two returned this year, I am still very pleased as this is a unusual color for this plant. We gardeners know that the more unusual plants tend to be more fickle and more expensive. The price of these roots was very reasonable and I plan on buying more for next year.

If I plant Dicentra spectabilis Alba in spring, will it come up in a few weeks? Or will it not come up until next spring?

- Verified Reply - ViciThis is shipped as a dormant bareroot plant. It will grow foliage in a few weeks and possibly could bloom this season. Dicentra foliage goes dormant in the heat of the summer and can be cut back once the leaves start to turn brown.Was this answer helpful to you
