Daylily Wild Horses

Daylily Wild Horses

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
A very showy daylily, Wild Horses Daylily features creamy yellow flowers with a slight pink tint and maroon centers and yellow throats. Growing 35-37" tall, Wild Horses Daylily blooms in June and reblooms in August/September. This variety has evergreen foliage, meaning the foliage will remain and the plant will not go into a dormant stage, which makes it more susceptible to damage from frost. A light mulch on top of the foliage will protect the plants from this damage. Daylilies are easy-to-grow, low-maintenance perennials that can be grown in containers. Their flowers attract pollinators.

Fantastic Hardy and Extraordinarily Beautiful.

Submitted 3 years ago

By Kari O

From WI

I used to have a large veggie garden, then turned it into perennials and bushes.... My Wild Horses Daylily was a beautiful addition , and planted as a centerpiece.e Now it is years later, and the garden has gone wild....I am designing a new bed near my garage and i want beauty of daylilies... So i fought my way thru the tangled paths and there under a lot of weeds all but buried was my Wild Horses! Not only is it still there, but it has two buds.. I am thrilled to get it out and so happy it is so hardy. It will soon be back to the beauty that i first admired.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Q
I have had various day lilies at my home in NY. Now that I live in Florida I miss them. Will they do well here in Florida? I am on the East coast in Port St Lucie. May I grow them in pots on a patio with partial sun?
Asked by Pete
Verified Reply - AngelaWe have some daylilies suggested for your zone 9. They would benefit from at least 4 to 6 hours of morning sun and afternoon shade. You could easily grow them in pots on your patio. https://www.dutchbulbs.com/category/daylilies-sun-perennials#/filter:filter_zone:9Was this answer helpful to you
