They do fantastic in south central texas

I love this glad. They come back every year with big healthy stalks and the creamy white ( vs white white prosperity) is lovely. Love them. I'm on a 40 acre ranch and I must have 2000 bulbs planted in various beds all over my place. Thanks for your great service and the really only place to get 14/16 cm size bulbs. !!!

Total bust. Not a single bloom in spite of perfect planting and location. Not a single bloom produced, just sad foliage.

Loved these glads. They had good strong stems and every single corm I planted bloomed. The white color paired well with many other colors.

Disappointed

The stalks/leaves came up great, but out of two dozen bulbs I got only one flower. Very disappointed Last year I bought daffodils, and only about half of them flowered in the spring. I don't think I will chance anything else.

Merchant Response

Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to hear the Hybrid Gladiolus Essential failed to bloom. The most common reasons for gladiolus not flowering are because of too much shade, too much fertilizer, frost damage and slow draining soils which causes the roots to rot. We are delighted to let you know we guarantee our merchandise and we will be reaching out to you with a positive resolution.

Great in almost all light conditions

By Happiest when I'm hiking

From Duluth, MN

Did great year one. I had some in full sun, part sun, and nearly all shade and they did great except for the ones under a tree— even those came up, just didn't bloom. I planted them staggered so they bloomed longer. My major trouble with them was slugs. The slugs vastly preferred these to any other plant in my garden, and these glads to other glad varieties. I tried wood ash and buried beer cans with variable success and finally used diatomaceous earth near the end of the season after a lot of damage had already been done. The deer were also fans of the blossoms— didn't give a fig about the leaves. Liquid fence was effective when applied consistently.
