Parrot Tulip Green Wave

We absolutely love the look of this unique Parrot type, and we think you will, too! Green Wave's unusual green buds open to reveal feathered blooms in a brilliant green hue. But within just a few days, you'll see the flowers change to a rosy shade of pink with emerald-green arms. Put these amazing tulips in a prominent place where they can be admired by visitors and passersby. Green Wave makes the most gorgeous cut-flower bouquets you've ever seen. A real showstopper!

Stunning tulips, (and in reply to the one star comments) when planted correctly as with any bulbs, into a rich, loamy soil with lots of soil microbes and room for the roots to develop.

I have problems with ground squirrels eating my bulbs.. They are beautiful; however, I plan to move them for next season. The bright yellow one seem to take away from the pastel color of the green wave.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Q
Do I have to lift these tulips in zone 6b?
Asked by Victor
Verified Reply - AngelaTulips bulbs can be lifted in the summer after the foliage has browned. You can store them in a cool, dark and dry location and replant in the fall. Most gardeners just plant new Parrot Tulip bulbs each fall. Was this answer helpful to you
