Nine out of 12 lived and are thriving.

From Woodinville, WA

No blooms yet because they are too young, but 9/12 of the planted nepeta are healthy and branching out. I do not expect blooms the first year, but I would not be surprised if I got some. Plants were well packed and arrived in good shape despite arriving a few days late. Three plants did not make it, but that is typical for shipped plants in my experience. I love Nepeta, and I have had it in all of my gardens for many years. I look forward to seeing how this variety performs.

I've got mine up high in a cattle trough. It's been there 3 or 4 years. Not only is it beautiful from afar- but the bees love it. I get so much enjoyment watching the bumble bees 🐝. It also has a great fragrance

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Q
What does nepeta look like in winter?
Asked by Dorette
Verified Reply - AngelaNepeta is an herbaceous perennial. It will die back to the ground in winter. You can cut the silver/gray dry plant matter back in the fall or leave it until spring. Get it cleaned up in the early spring because the new growth starts emerging very early. In my zone 6 the plants can begin blooming in late April. Was this answer helpful to you

Q
I recently planted two of these. Leaves are turning brown on one of them. Can I save it?
Asked by Kenny
Verified Reply - AngelaWe ship our Nepeta as dormant bareroot plants and wouldn't expect there to be any new top growth yet if planted this year. If these are newly planted established plants from another nursery, they may be experiencing difficulty due to the cold weather. They should just now be starting to come out of winter dormancy in your area. Without seeing the plant and knowing the planting and growing conditions, it's difficult to say why they are browning. You might try contacting the county extension office for some help with the diagnosis. These are pretty tough plants and in most cases should recover if the problem is corrected. Was this answer helpful to you
