Mini Hosta Blue Mouse Ears

Mini Hosta Blue Mouse Ears

Charming hosta features round, blue-green leaves and grows just 4-5" tall. Mini Hosta Blue Mouse Ears is an award-winning hosta that's ideal for container plantings and edging shaded walkways and gardens. Its lavender flowers open above the foliage in the summer. Hosta lilies, sometimes called "Plantain" or "Heart Lilies," are some of the best perennials for shade and woodland gardens. They're unequaled for their foliage and fragrant, bell-shaped flowers. They take about one year to establish themselves, but do not have to be dug or divided.

I love hostas and these have quickly become my favorite in the garden. They did ok the first year but did very well in the garden this year. They are darker and more compact than other hostas and their leaves are a little thicker which gives them unique appearance in the bed. I am ordering a few more for next year. They do like shade and moist soil.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

My first years with mouse ears I had them in a pot but they did not do well. I think they needed a bit more shade. The second year I planted then in a hosta bed in filtered shade under a tree. And their are wonderful this year. They have even bloomed!,
