Large Cupped Daffodil Martha Stewart

Large Cupped Daffodil Martha Stewart

100%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
Add showy color and beauty to your garden and cut-flower displays with Large Cupped Daffodil Martha Stewart. White petals surround a flared, pale yellow cup with a frilled, apricot-pink edge. Growing 14-18" tall, these daffodils bloom in mid spring. They're easy to grow and excellent for naturalizing. They reliably come back year after year. Temperatures may affect this daffodil's colors. Warmer spring temperatures really bring out the pink or salmon-pink hues in pink daffodils, while cooler temperatures bring out their orange tones. Grows best in full sun to partial shade. Deer tend to avoid.

Strikingly beautiful daffodil

Submitted 1 year ago

By Flower maximalist

From Zone 7a

Very refined and delicate daffodil with creamy, nearly white petals and a salmon/apricot edged frilly trumpet. In Zone 7a, the ones in full sun opened the first week in April, placing them squarely in the middle of the daffodil parade!

Gorgeous Large Cupped Daffodil Martha Stewart

These Large Cupped Daffodil bloomed in a paler shade of yellow than what was pictured, but they are stunning and I actually prefer the softer hues. They were regal and tall and faced the sun, turning slightly sideways. I will definitely plant more this fall.

Strong growers, more pastel toned, but still very lovely.

I wish I could give these 4 1/2 stars. They came up REALLY strong this spring - the bulbs were obviously healthy and vigorous. The color is quite a bit different than the listing photo, though. At least mine are - I got a bunch and put them in multiple locations in the yard, and their color is consistent, despite slight differences in growing conditions - some in a partly shaded rock garden, some in a very sunny spot between perennials, and some in a mostly sunny border. So, I don't think the growing conditions explain the color difference. The image shows a high-contrast flower, but mine came up with creamy white petals (not the bright white in the photo) and the cup had a very pale salmon colored edge, without any yellow in the throat. Don't get me wrong - I still REALLY like them; they have a large flower, and are VERY robust. It seems to me that every bulb I planted came up, and only one or two had foliage only - amazing for their first year planted, in my experience. Health wise, they certainly deserve 5 stars. The color was just a bit more muted than advertised. I actually really like their subtle tones, but they are more of a pastel tone than the eye-popper image. Also, they came with the name "Martha Steward" (with a "D"). This is the name I found referenced elsewhere online, just as an FYI.

Martha Stewart daffodils bloomed Mid-April in full sun. Held up to strong winds. White and salmon colors blending towards a pretty cream after 2 weeks.

Beautiful and they all came up---early daffodil

Submitted 3 years ago

By Jill

From Arlington, VA

This is a beautiful daffodil. I'm sure that I'll be ordering more for next year. They were quality bulbs, and I was happy to see that they all came up. This was one of my earlier daffodils---after the very early yellow daffodils that a lot of people have, but before some of my other varieties.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
