Jonquilla Daffodil Pipit

Jonquilla Daffodil Pipit

86%
of respondents would recommend this to a friend
2-3 lemon-yellow blooms appear on each stem. Cups age to creamy white.
These fabulous narcissus pack superior color and form in miniature size. Jonquillas delight the eye with 1-5 flowers per stem and corona-type cups that are usually wider than they are long. Cyclamineus bring a different perspective to the garden with their short "necks" that present a single flower at an acute angle to the stem. Short-cupped and fragrant, tazettas produce clusters of flowers. Both groups are perfect for rock gardens, borders, beds, window boxes and naturalizing.

I planted two daffodil varieties in four circles in my front flower bed. All the bulbs came up and bloomed beautifully! I really enjoyed the flower structure, color, and long bloom time.

What a lovely late bloomer! So glad I added Pipit to extend our daffodil bloom season. Prolific and long lasting.

Opps, I was wrong!

I submitted an earlier review suggesting that I had received the WRONG variety. It turns out that I DID receive the wrong daffodils, but it wasn't the Pipit I planted...several just bloomed out and they are lovely. Of course, not quite as vivid as the color shown here, so google for other images to get a more balanced perspective...normal habit these days as so many plants are variable in coloration even when they're the correct variety. Note, this variety is known to start out with a yellow cup that changes to white after opening...my photos show blooms that are very fresh, probably 24-48 hours old at most. So, please remove my earlier rating, as I clearly made a mistake, and these are just awesome!

All Grew. Wrong Variety. K.Van made it right!

I was truly looking forward to these.Sadly, what I bloomed out was not Pipit, but something else entirely. Flowers were very small, e.g. 1" across, several buds per scape, with orange cups. K.Van B. issued a full replacement certificate. I'd really love to know what I wound up with, instead of Pipit. NOTE - given the number of correct and high reviews from others, I'd still recommend it's worth a shot. Might re-order and see if this fall's bulbs are the right kind!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Jonquilla Daffodil Pipit was a perfect addition to the edge of a shade garden where there was enough sun to maximize the blooms.
